**UPDATED 12/19/2025**

Due to the heavy rain we have experienced and additional wet weather in the forecast, work on the project will pause from Friday, Dec. 19 through Monday, Jan. 5. This short break allows conditions to dry out so construction on the current stage of the project can continue safely and effectively.

While work is paused, SE May Creek Park Drive will reopen to westbound traffic only, improving access through the area during the holiday period. Construction is anticipated to resume after January 5, at which time the full road closure will return. Westbound travel is expected to reopen on January 30 and remain open for the rest of the project.

As part of the next stage on the non-motorized improvement project, SE May Creek Park Drive will be fully closed in both directions between the roundabout and 129th Ave. SE from Monday, Oct. 27 through Monday, Dec. 29.

School buses and residents who live within the closure area will still have access. All other traffic should follow a detour route using 116th Ave. SE, Newcastle Way, and Coal Creek Pkwy SE.
