The City of Newcastle Parks and Trails Division is thrilled to announce that our team has successfully leveraged a $5,000 Youth and Amateur Sports Grant (YASG) from King County to make some impactful improvements in our community parks.

Thanks to this grant, we’ve installed new pickleball nets at Lake Boren Park, two new soccer goals at Redman Park, and are in the process of adding a fence extension for the basketball court at China Falls Park. These improvements will provide enhanced recreational opportunities for all ages and help support local youth and amateur sports.
