Help us spread holiday cheer and light up your home for all to admire! The City of Newcastle and its Community Activities Commission invite you to participate in the 2023 Lights of Newcastle Outdoor Holiday Display Contest. Get creative and decorate your house, apartment, or balcony with lights and decorations.

Any resident of a Newcastle house, apartment, or condominium is welcome to register for this FREE event.

Contest Rules:

• Homes (house, apartment, condo) located in Newcastle city limits can participate.

• Display must be visible from the sidewalk or street.

• Display should be lighted for judging between 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., December 15-21.

• Be creative, be festive, and have fun! Displays will be evaluated for their originality, thematic elements, and overall design quality - not just the quantity of lights.

How It Works:

• Register online by noon on December 14. Official judging by the Community Activities Commission is limited to the first 30 registrants. EVERYONE who registers is eligible for the People's Choice Award.

• Have your display ready by 5:00 p.m. on December 15 and be available for viewing through December 21.

• Winners will be announced on City of Newcastle social media on December 22.
