When you complete the Vacation House Check, the Newcastle Police will periodically check your house and have your contact information in the office in case of an emergency. Since this is only one way to help with safety, make sure you take the necessary steps when planning to be away from your home.
Stop the mail and paper, or have a neighbor pick them up each day. Also have a trusted neighbor keep an eye on your house and pick up any literature that may be left on your door.
